Who is responsible

This site is hosted by PENDIENTE: proveedor de alojamiento, which acts as a data processor and, like any web host, records the technical data needed to serve a page.

Your files are not uploaded

Animations are decoded, edited and exported by your own browser. The file you open is never sent to us, so we cannot read it, store it, analyse it or hand it over to anyone.

There is one exception, and it is the next section.

Opening an image by URL

A browser is not allowed to read a file from another website directly, so when you paste an address we fetch those bytes through our server and pass them straight to you. Nothing is stored.

To do that, our server necessarily processes your IP address and the address you asked for. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in providing the feature and in preventing abuse: without a record we cannot tell a normal user from someone using the site to hammer a third party.

These entries are kept in the server log for as long as needed to detect abuse and no longer. Your IP is also held in memory for a few minutes to enforce request limits, and is not written anywhere.

What stays on your device

Your sessions are stored in your browser's own storage (IndexedDB): the frames, the animation name, the original file name and, if you opened it by URL, that address. They have no expiry date and they never reach us.

This matters on a shared or public computer: anyone using that browser afterwards can see what you opened. You can delete a session from the tool page, and clearing your browsing data removes them all.

We also store your light or dark theme choice under the key "theme". That is all: there are no cookies and no tracking identifiers.

Analytics

There is currently no analytics on this site. If it is added, it will be a service that does not use cookies and does not build a profile of you.

Your rights

You have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict and object to the processing of your personal data, and to lodge a complaint with PENDIENTE: autoridad de protección de datos.

In practice, the only personal data we hold is what the section on URLs describes. Everything else lives on your device and is entirely under your control: we could not delete it for you even if you asked, because we never had it.
